It was a great Championship for Croom’s Jack Ryan (Castletroy GC), who finished in a share of sixth place on seven-under par and a handy €2,000 for his efforts, while 2017 winner Tim Rice (Limerick GC) will have been pleased to have finished inside the top ten on -6.
Ryan shot a sizzling opening round of 66 (par 72).

Kinsella was the guest of honour, and was given a standing ovation after being interviewed by Limerick GC President Ivan Morris.
