– Sanford Health is set to become the naming partner for Rapid City's new sports complex under a $10 million, 20-year partnership announced by Mayor Jason Salamun and Rapid City Sports Commission Executive Director Domico Rodriguez.
The announcement was made at a ceremony on frontage land along East Mall Drive, overlooking the 22-acre site in northern Rapid City.
The land was donated by Pete Lien & Sons and approved by the Rapid City Common Council as the future home of the complex.
Sanford has operated the 500-acre Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls and partnered on the 400,000-square-foot Fargo Parks Sports Center at the Sanford Sports Complex in Fargo, N.D.
