Visakhapatnam:The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation has rolled out a series of emergency measures to address the prevailing drinking water scarcity in the city. GVMC commissioner Ketan Garg, in a statement on Thursday, said the corporation is working on a war footing to ensure The corporation’s water supply department launched the “Dial‑A‑Tanker” service, enabling citizens to book water tankers quickly and conveniently. The corporation has introduced an online water tanker booking facility through its Citizen portal. He appealed to citizens to make optimum use of the service, conserve water, and cooperate with the corporation during the ongoing scarcity. He reiterated GVMC’s commitment to strengthening the city’s drinking water system by leveraging modern technology and ensuring transparent, citizen‑friendly service delivery.
