Govt Speeds Up Preparations To launch Full-Fledged Services At TIMS

The minister was speaking at a meeting to assess the ongoing trial run of medical services at the hospital, infrastructure, medical equipment, recruitment of doctors and staff, and the preparedness of various departments.
The meeting was attended by Dr Narendra Kumar, institute director, Gaurav Uppal, Managing Director of TGMSIDC; Dr Vani, Director of Medical Education; Dr Ravinder Naik, Director of Public Health; and senior officials.
Rajanarsimha instructed officials to rectify all shortcomings identified during the ongoing trial run.
He also directed them to ensure seamless coordination among all departments, including Outpatient (OP), Inpatient (IP), emergency services, intensive care units (ICUs), operation theatres, diagnostic services, laboratories, pharmacy, Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD), patient registration and IT systems.
Reviewing the recruitment process, the Minister held a detailed discussion on the availability of doctors, nursing staff, paramedical personnel, technicians and administrative staff.
