Broken slabs of concrete and plastic netting fill the channel of Little River.
Sending the case to the attorney general would open a path for the state to pursue civil litigation to address noncompliance with the cleanup order, staff attorney Paul Ciccarelli explained.
“CDFW recognizes the Little River Watershed as a critically important resource for salmonid recovery,” he said.
“As you heard, Little River also supports spawning coho and other protected species.
… The Little River doesn’t belong to any individual landowner; it belongs to all of us.”
