The parish is aiming to complete the construction of sand volleyball courts by September. The project is completely funded by the Parks and Recreation Department, and the bid was awarded to Centric Gulf Coast. Grayson Touchard, a spokesperson for the Parks and Recreation Department, said the department is currently in the middle of the volleyball court construction. The parish completed similar renovations at West Bank Bridge Park in 2024. Last August, the parish completed renovations at Bethune Park.
