President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has distanced himself from the freezing of Osun State government bank accounts by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Therefore, Tinubu directed the EFCC to immediately approach the court to set aside the order freezing the accounts of the Osun State Government and to discontinue related actions. President Tinubu reaffirmed his longstanding position that anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies must operate independently, professionally, and without political interference.
