Justin Crawford wants to learn from three-time batting champion Luis Arraez. The Phillies landed Arraez, a three-time batting champion and the current National League leader in average, at the trade deadline to bolster their offense. “It’s a great guy for him to talk to,” interim manager Don Mattingly said Thursday before the team’s series finale against Washington. It would probably be unfair to expect Crawford to turn into a hitter who reaches the level of Arraez. I think he’s kind of an extreme example of showing that (by) putting the ball in play, getting on base.
