The documentary, titled Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple, is set to premiere on September 23 on CBC, and will feature the surviving RUSH members performing with a handful of notable drummers. The film features interviews with RUSH‘s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, as well as the duo playing RUSH material with several notable drummers such as Tool’s Danny Carey, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and Stewart Copeland of The Police. The documentary covers Neil Peart’s life from his early gig career in Canada and London, before leading to his meteoric rise to being considered one of the greatest rock drummers in history. The legendary musician died in 2020 at the age of 67 following a private battle with brain cancer.
