Lower Nicola resident hopes to put his experience to work for TNRD Area M

Elizabeth Jolicoeur[email protected]Local Journalism Initiative ReporterLower Nicola resident Jim Harvey says he wants to bring his background in fisheries, forestry and natural resources to the position of TNRD Electoral Area M director. With current TNRD Area M Director David Laird recently announcing his retirement, voters will elect a new representative for the rural area. If elected, Harvey said he would like to maintain the services already available to Area M residents while making sure money is spent responsibly. Instead, he hopes to bring lived experience, professional knowledge and an understanding of the land and resource industries to the position. Harvey said representing Area M would be an opportunity to put that experience to work for the community where he grew up.
