AIC Mines has announced it has discovered one of the highest-grade gold zones ever encountered across its Eloise tenement package in north Queensland, with drilling at the Eloise South prospect returning 3.2m grading 92.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including 1.2m at 249g/t gold. The site is located just two kilometres south of the company’s Eloise copper mine and forms part of a broader regional exploration campaign. The company said downhole electromagnetic surveys have since identified a conductive unit associated with the gold mineralisation, with further drilling planned to test the target. AIC plans to continue drilling at both Iris and Eloise South during the current field season as it advances exploration around the Eloise mine. This strengthens our confidence that Iris is one of the highest-priority exploration targets within our Eloise Regional exploration portfolio.”
