The Canal and River Trust is investigating a breach of the Llangollen Canal close to Swanley Marina Bridge near Nantwich. A spokesperson for the Canal and River Trust said: “Our teams have been working on a leak on the Llangollen Canal near Bridge 10 at Swanley, close to Nantwich. “We’re working closely with our partners to manage the situation and reduce any impact on local water supplies and boaters. One local user said: “A culvert on the Llangollen Canal has failed and taken a large tree down. “Huge amounts of water is flooding local fields and towpaths and the canal is closed between Swanley and Baddiley Locks.
