The video is said to have been live for 15 minutes, as horrified viewers reported what they were seeing to the police. The video is reported to have shown the dad of three covered in blood, holding a knife, making cuts to his body and face. Multiple 911 calls were made about the video, before it was taken down and the TikTok account belonging to Perez Hilton was then suspended. Now, TikTok has blamed a “moderator error” for the video being up for so long, despite the site having clear guidelines against this sort of content. A TikTok spokesperson told TMZ: “Our automated moderation systems flagged the live stream within minutes and routed it to our US moderation team for review.
