Pakistan’s largest and most advanced Information Technology (IT) Park in Islamabad has entered its final phase of construction, with the federal government describing the project as a major step toward creating new opportunities for the country’s youth and digital economy. Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja visited the under-construction IT Park on Thursday to review the progress of the project. “This state-of-the-art IT Park is a valuable gift from the Prime Minister for Pakistan’s talented youth. According to the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, the Islamabad IT Park is expected to play a vital role in promoting Pakistan’s information technology sector by providing international-standard infrastructure, encouraging innovation, and generating employment opportunities. The government said the project will be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif upon its completion.
