BACALAR, Mexico — Authorities in Quintana Roo confirmed that 13 individuals reported missing in the municipality of Bacalar have been found alive following a coordinated multi-agency search operation. The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported that the missing individuals were located during an early morning deployment led by the State Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security. The joint Task Force comprised local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies working alongside intelligence units to trace the individuals’ whereabouts. Following their recovery, security forces transferred them to medical personnel for preliminary health evaluations before placing them under the care of ministerial authorities. The FGE reiterated that rapid-response protocols and cross-agency intelligence sharing remain vital tools for resolving missing-person cases across the state.
