The latest Met Office outlook shows temperatures climbing steadily through the weekend, with Wrexham expected to reach 26–27C on Saturday and Sunday, bringing classic summer conditions of warm sunshine and only the odd shower.
By Tuesday and Wednesday next week, Met Office has Wrexham back up around 29C in the afternoon, under strong sunshine and light winds – a short, sharp burst of hot weather rather than a long-lasting heatwave.
It will feel very warm or hot in the city centre and surrounding villages, especially where shelter from any breeze allows the heat to build through the day.
For residents, that means Wrexham’s hottest conditions are expected to arrive by mid-week, while Flintshire enjoys a spell of warm, mostly dry weather that peaks over the weekend before turning slightly cooler and more changeable.
Met Office will continue to update its forecasts in the coming days, but for now the message is clear: the high temperatures are on their way back, with Wrexham set for the hottest spell and Flintshire enjoying warm but more modest summer conditions.
