The incident happened around 11:45 p.m. near Yucca Loma Road and Apple Valley Road. The mother and two young children were passengers in the Tiguan and died at the scene. The names of the mother and children have not been released by authorities, but according to a verified GoFundMe, the mother was identified only as a "Tedi" and the children were identified as 7-year-old Rosie Valenzuela, and 6-year-old Felix Valenzuela. The sheriff's department said drugs and alcohol may have been a factor in this collision and the investigation remains ongoing.
