The Santa Rosa Police Department is bringing back its popular “Missing Person Monday” initiative on Facebook and Instagram to generate new leads on local cold cases. According to the Press Democrat, this fifth round of weekly posts focuses on small groups of missing individuals to maximize public engagement, with cases dating as far back as 2016. The program—first created by a department intern in 2024—has already proven highly effective, directly helping officers resolve 14 cold cases over the past two years. The current campaign recently kicked off by highlighting four individuals, including two cousins who vanished after attending a church on Sebastopol Road eight years ago. Police are urging anyone with information on these or other cases to call the Santa Rosa Police Violent Crimes Investigations tip line at 707-543-3590.
