Former Celtic striker Teemu Pukki made an immediate impact from the bench as HJK Helsinki drew 1-1 with Motherwell in their Conference League qualifier. Celtic-linked Motherwell attacker Tawanda Maswanhise opened the scoring from the spot in the 64th minute, before Teemu Pukki equalised to leave the tie level ahead of the return game at Fir Park. The Motherwell attacker was linked with Celtic during the January transfer window after a strong run of form at Fir Park. Martin O’Neill and Mark Fotheringham were also spotted at a Motherwell Scottish Cup match in which Maswanhise scored, although Celtic never confirmed that he was the reason for their attendance. The pair will meet again at Fir Park, where Motherwell must find a way past Pukki while Maswanhise looks to add another European goal to his growing record.
