‘The Big Bang Theory’ universe has officially gone multiversal, and fans of the beloved sitcom’s extended family are already hooked on its newest spinoff. ‘Stuart Fails to Save the Universe‘ Episode 4 premieres on HBO Max on Thursday, August 13, 2026, continuing the show’s weekly Thursday release schedule that began with the series premiere on July 23. Co-creator Bill Prady has described the show’s central premise as picking up years after the events of ‘The Big Bang Theory’, but with a twist. He explained, “We start in an alternate universe, but it would be contemporaneous with a continuous timeline, so it picks up years after [the events of The Big Bang Theory]. With the multiverse chaos only escalating and plenty of alternate versions of familiar characters still likely waiting to be revealed, ‘Stuart Fails to Save the Universe’ shows no signs of slowing its ambitious sci-fi swing anytime soon.
