The e-Smart Group – a European logistics conglomerate – is going ahead with plans for a second-half 2027 launch of a cargo airline that will use Beta Technologies Alia CX300 freighters on regional routes.
The putative carrier, ClearSky Airlines, intends to start with five of the electric aircraft, said the company at the Farnborough Airshow on July 21, 2026.
ClearSky Airlines will be one of the first carriers to put electric aircraft into scheduled and charter regional cargo operations in Europe.
