Playa del Espejo in Los Alcázares has received major accessibility improvements to help people with reduced mobility enjoy the Mar Menor safely and independently. The work has been recognised in Murcia’s 2026 Regional Beach Accessibility Plan, which highlighted the progress made at Playa del Espejo since last summer. Los Alcázares Tourism Councillor María José Díaz said accessibility was central to the municipality’s tourism strategy. The improvements will also benefit older people, families with young children and anyone needing easier access to the beach. Los Alcázares Council said it would continue removing barriers and modernising its facilities to make the coastline more inclusive.
