By Shannon McFarlin News DirectorParis, Tenn.–Several people were on hand at Thursday’s meeting of the Paris City Commission to complain about the city’s proposed new limb and brush collection program, but at the meeting’s outset, City Manager Kim Foster asked that the proposed ordinance be deferred indefinitely. City Attorney James Smith said the best way to handle it was to remove the item from the agenda and revisit the issue later. But citizens have noted that brush and limbs have been piling up in alleys for lengthy periods of time.
