The governor made the pledge on Thursday during a condolence visit to Bungudu Local Government Area following last week’s bandit attack that claimed lives and left several residents abducted. “I am here to express my sympathy and offer condolences to the families, the Emir and the people of Bungudu following last week’s bandit attacks,” he said. Responding, the Emir of Bungudu commended the governor for his commitment to tackling insecurity and expressed confidence that the state would eventually overcome the challenge of banditry. “As a member of the State Security Council, I know the efforts the governor is making. During the visit, Governor Lawal also met with the families of the late Bello Umar Bungudu and other victims to personally convey his condolences and reassure them of the government’s support.
