FEDERALSBURG, Md. – The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating after a fire destroyed the Federalsburg Church of Nazarene late Wednesday night. At 11:46 p.m. on Aug. 5, crews with the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company and other area departments responded to the church located on Houston Branch Road after a passerby reported a fire. The total damage to the building and its contents is estimated to be valued at $350,000. Fire marshals continue to investigate the preliminary cause and origin of the fire.
