Lewiston, NY - William Joseph Gallagher was born in 1947, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. He went on to become a television reporter, based in Detroit during most of his career. Bill Gallagher is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Elizabeth (Bellonte) Gallagher, his children Rachel Gallagher, Amelia Gallagher, his son-in-law Semir Huzmeli, and grandchildren Yusuf, Aliye, and Zehra Huzmeli. He was the brother of Kathleen (Richard) Shiah, Ellen (Glenn) Vitek, Donal (Rita) Gallagher, Margaret (Michael) del Aguila, Joseph Gallagher, and Bernard Gallagher. Known as the ringleader of the "Outlaws," he was the brother-in-law of Thomas (Marcia) Bellonte, Mary-Jo (late Bill) Murphy, Margaret (Gerard) Talarico, Julie Bellonte, Tim (Patti) Bellonte, and Joseph (Janine) Bellonte.
