An armed robbery attack on two mobile money vendors has left two people dead at Fiapre in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region. The two mobile money vendors, both young women, who sustained gunshot wounds, are currently on admission at the Sunyani Teaching Hospital and responding to treatment. According to the residents, the suspected robbers, numbering about three and armed with AK-47 rifles, attacked the mobile money vendors and fired gunshots sporadically to scare onlookers. Meanwhile, Mr Kwasi Asante Boateng, Sunyani West Municipal Chief Executive, has visited and consoled Ibrahim’s family. He also visited the injured mobile money vendors at the Sunyani Teaching Hospital and wished them a speedy recovery.
