Islands off the coast of Nova Scotia getting high speed internet

Almost 200 homes and businesses on Big and Little Tancook islands have been without high speed internet in an age where digital connection dominates.
It is nearly six kilometres from the mainland and the fibre optic cables will run along the ocean floor and connect both islands.
“The Tancook islands are an important part of Nova Scotia’s coastal communities.
The project is part of the Internet for Nova Scotia Initiative, bringing high speed internet service to the Tancook islands.
