WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported Thursday that the belief within WWE is that Aldis will return to the ring for the company at some point. The report also noted that several people backstage see Aldis as being just as talented, if not more talented, than some of the wrestlers WWE regularly features on television. Aldis’ match against Gunther at WWE SummerSlam was his first bout in almost three years, dating back to an independent show he worked on October 7, 2023. During a recent interview, Aldis noted that he was told approximately one month ahead of time that he would be wrestling the match.
