Yarrow Cookery School is in the running for the Net Zero Champion award at the 2026 Midlothian and East Lothian Business Awards. The family-run cookery school, founded by Sophia and Richard Yarrow, is being recognised for its commitment to creating a more sustainable approach to hospitality and food education. Yarrow operates from a restored 200-year-old steading in Longniddry and was designed as the UK’s first fossil-fuel-free cookery school.
