Scherer Construction crews are on the cusp of breaking ground on Alachua County’s Pinesville Park, a new designated outdoor space located about three miles north of downtown Archer at St. Peters Baptist Church. Park plans approved in September 2025 by Alachua County’s Development Review Committee include a new sports court, playground and bathrooms. Scherer Construction posted to Facebook about Pinesville Park on Monday and said they’re honored to build a project that will have a lasting impact, from celebrating birthday parties to bringing the community together. “Creating spaces like Pinesville Park is about investing in families, strengthening communities, and giving future generations a place to laugh, play, gather, and make memories,” Scherer Construction said in the post.
