Public sector transport executive body Merseytravel has launched a procurement for a contractor to deliver early contractor involvement (ECI), detailed design and remedial works at eight ventilation stations across the Kingsway and Queensway Tunnel estate, in Liverpool. The contract, which has an estimated value of £15M excluding VAT (£18M including VAT), covers the detailed design of remedial works identified in the Building Fabric Condition Survey Reports for the eight ventilation stations. The work includes architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services and relates to the remedial works identified within the Building Fabric Condition Survey Reports for the eight ventilation stations across the Kingsway and Queensway Tunnel estate. Stage one will comprise ECI and design development, while stage two will cover the construction phase for the remedial works. Merseytravel intends to invite a maximum of five suppliers to tender following evaluation of responses to the pre-selection questionnaire (PSQ).
