Obi made the donation during a visit to the institution after attending the 50th/15th Biennial Conference of the Methodist Church. Addressing the management and students, Obi reaffirmed his belief that education remains one of the strongest pillars for national development, particularly in the healthcare sector, where the training of skilled professionals is critical to improving healthcare delivery. According to him, investing in education is an investment in Nigeria’s future, adding that strengthening institutions responsible for producing qualified healthcare workers is essential for the country’s development. The former Anambra State governor maintained that sustained investment in education and human capital development remains key to building a better Nigeria, expressing optimism that “a new Nigeria is possible.”
