Lackard was arraigned hours later on the same attempted murder indictment filed earlier this week against his wife and their 20-year-old son, alleged "Slutty Gang" member Chase Lackard. Jennifer Lackard, 49, and Lackard were arrested at the home on Tuesday and later arraigned on an indictment charging them with attempted murder, conspiracy, attempted assault and weapons offenses. The Mount Vernon statement referenced the charges against Lackard in its announcement of her firing. "Effective immediately, the city of Mount Vernon has terminated Jennifer Lackard's employment. The allegations are unrelated to her duties with the Mount Vernon [police] and do not stem from any conduct associated with the department or the performance of her official responsibilities."
