QUETTA – Security forces killed 12 terrorists in two intelligence-based operations (IBOs) carried out in Washuk and Mastung districts of Balochistan on August 5 and 6, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
According to the military’s media wing, the operations were conducted under “Rad-ul-Fitna-3”, part of the ongoing intelligence-driven counterterrorism campaign targeting what it described as “Fitna Al Hindustan.”
The ISPR said security forces detected the movement of six terrorists in Washuk district on August 5 and launched a precise operation.
In a separate intelligence-based operation conducted in Mastung district on August 6, another six terrorists were killed during an intense firefight with security forces, the ISPR said.
The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue intelligence-driven operations across the country until the threat of militancy is eradicated.
