Grant to Southwest Michigan First to benefit entrepreneurs throughout Southwest Michigan

A new state grant could mean expanded resources for entrepreneurs and small businesses served by Cornerstone Alliance and the South Haven Regional Business Hub, among other organizations.
Southwest Michigan First in Kalamazoo announced on Thursday it’s been awarded a $930,000 Small Business Support Hubs 2.0 grant through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the Michigan Strategic Fund.
The organization will distribute the funding among entrepreneur support organizations across the seven-county Southwest Michigan region, including in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties.
Southwest Michigan First says it will continue working alongside its regional Entrepreneur Support Organization partners to deliver expanded services and ensure entrepreneurs throughout Southwest Michigan have access to coordinated, high-quality support.
