CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A St. Louis woman has been arrested for armed robbery in Carbondale. On August 5 at 12:35 pm, officers responded to the 600 block of East Walnut Street for a report of a robbery in progress at a local business. Officers learned the female suspect approached the victim, displayed what appeared to be a firearm, and demanded money. Officers were able to locate the suspect, 33 year old Stacy Cole, disarm and arrest her after a brief foot chase. She has been charged with Armed Robbery and Resisting a Peace Officer.
