Clifford “Cliff” E. Simpson, age 88, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at his home of natural causes. Mr. Simpson was born in Christian County, KY, on June 10, 1938, the son of the late Oscar Hilmond Simpson and Nellie Louise Marsh Simpson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, James O. Simpson, Hilmond Simpson, Douglas Simpson, William Simpson; and his sisters, Ernestine Pendleton, Helen Good, Juanita Johnson, Pauline White. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Carol Ann Simpson of Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter, Andy Simpson (Anna) of Hopkinsville, KY; his brother, Kenneth (Diane) Simpson of Christian County, Milton Keith Simpson of Christian County; his sister, Carolyn (Charles) Sugg of Christian County, Nell Cooper of Mortons Gap, KY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Christian County Humaine Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
