After years of planning, anticipation, and construction, the new Christian County High School officially opened its doors Thursday as community members gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the district’s newest chapter. Student ambassadors, representing both former Christian County High School and Hopkinsville High School, said they have spent the past three to four years attending meetings and helping shape the vision for the consolidated school. Fort said he is especially excited about the opportunities the new Christian County High School will create for future students. He said everything is new, the school has a clear vision, and he believes students will have an outstanding experience. Christian County High School will welcome students for the first day of classes on Aug. 19.
