Update at 2:30 p.m.: Fire crews have quickly stopped the forward spread of the Gelding Fire burning off Highway 4 in the Angels Camp area near the Gann Fire footprint. CAL FIRE spokesperson Emily Kilgore reports that crews remain on scene working to extinguish a structure fire on the property. The flame’s forward rate of spread was stopped at an estimated one and a half acres.
