Wilmington Convention Center to host first-ever brick convention featuring LEGO displays and activities(Photo/Brick Convention)WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington will host its first-ever Brick Convention next month, bringing a weekend of LEGO-themed displays, activities and vendors to the Wilmington Convention Center. The Wilmington Brick Convention is scheduled for Sept. 12-13 and will feature professional LEGO artists from across the country showcasing large-scale creations, along with meet-and-greets with LEGO personalities. The competition encourages participants to create an original LEGO® model inspired by a place, landmark, event or memory that makes Wilmington special to them. By entering, participants agree to allow the City of Wilmington to photograph and use images of their creations for promotional purposes. Winning PrizeThe winning builder or team will receive tickets to the Wilmington Brick Convention and be recognized through the City of Wilmington’s communications channels.
