Former Celtic captain Scott Brown has emerged as a candidate for the vacant Derry City manager’s job. The 41-year-old has been out of management since leaving Ayr United in March after more than two years in charge of the Championship side. He later moved to Ayr United, where he spent more than two seasons before departing earlier this year. During his time in Glasgow, Brown won 10 Scottish Premiership titles, six Scottish Cups and six League Cups. A return to management would be Brown’s first role since leaving Ayr United earlier this year and another opportunity to continue building his coaching career.
