A man is in jail after stealing $50,000 worth of watches during a burglary. The Madisonville Police Department arrested 33-year-old Brandon D. Marlow, of Madisonville, after he allegedly committed the burglary on Saturday in the 200 block of Park Avenue. A television was stolen along with approximately $50,000 in watches that were inside a purse in a wooden case, according to WFIE.com. The suspect was arrested on Tuesday after police searched his backpack and discovered a notebook where he recorded the names and serial numbers of the stolen watches. He was charged with second-degree burglary and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
