Lenox — Tanglewood concludes Yo-Yo Ma’s weeklong exploration of the American experiment at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 9. Lee joined the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s cello section in 2023 and now serves on the faculties of the Tanglewood Music Center and the Curtis Institute of Music. As a composer, Ouzounian has written works for Silkroad Ensemble and other organizations, often drawing on her Lebanese Armenian heritage. An original member of Yo-Yo Ma’s Silkroad Ensemble, he has collaborated with artists including Yo-Yo Ma, Osvaldo Golijov, John Adams, and the Kronos Quartet, helping introduce Persian music to international audiences.
