— Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold the Ava Community Blood Drive from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, in the Ava High School cafeteria, 507 N. Spring St. in Ava. The blood drive will be held in honor of Memphis Brooks Hall. Area residents who are eligible to donate are encouraged to participate and help support the blood supply for hospitals throughout the Ozarks.
