Russell Dickerson (St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital)Russell Dickerson will be honored with the 2026 Angels Among Us Award during the 36th Country Cares Seminar this fall. Given to artists who’ve worked to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the award takes its name from the 1993 song by Alabama and pays tribute to lead singer Randy Owen, who helped create Country Cares. Russell’s wife, Kailey Dickerson, will share the honor with her husband. The “Happen to Me” hitmaker first attended the Country Cares gathering in 2017, participating in multiple #ThisShirtSavesLives campaigns, visiting with patients and families, performing and working to raise money for St. Jude ever since. Randy Owen, Brothers Osborne, Scotty McCreery, Florida Georgia Line, Lady A, Jake Owen, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Old Dominion and Keith Urban have all previously picked up the Angels Among Us honor.
