Brown County Commission canvassed the results on the 30th of July and decided to audit the results of one of the vote centers. That location had a total of 676 ballots cast. 414 votes went to Governor Rhoden while 260 votes went to Toby Doeden. It was confirmed that they did have 676 ballots. The process to hand count lasted about an hour and was determined that the tally did matched the tabulation by the vote tabulation machines used on election night.
