The 8th National Geothermal Meeting (RENAG 2026) will be held 27-30 October in Villavicencio, Colombia, with an open call for abstracts and sponsorship. The Colombian Geothermal Association (AGEOCOL) has announced the Eighth National Geothermal Meeting (RENAG 2026), which will take place from October 27 – 30, 2026 at the facilities of the SENA Industry and Services Center, in Villavicencio, Meta, Colombia. Since its creation, the National Geothermal Meeting has established itself as the main meeting place for the Colombian geothermal community, promoting dialogue between academia, industry and public entities, as well as strengthening alliances that contribute to the sustainable use of geothermal resources and the country’s energy transition. Call for abstractsAs part of the preparatory activities, AGEOCOL has opened a call for abstracts of technical and scientific work. With an agenda focused on innovation, research, the exchange of experiences and cooperation among the different actors in the sector, RENAG 2026 reaffirms the growing interest in geothermal energy as a renewable energy source capable of contributing to the diversification of the energy matrix and the sustainable development of Colombia.
