The Heat Advisory that has been issued for the Mariposa County foothills and the central San Joaquin Valley, will remain in effect until 8 PM Sunday night. Additionally, the National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the Mother Lode and the northern San Joaquin Valley from 10 AM Friday until 10 PM Sunday. During this Heat Advisory, try to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the direct sun, and be sure to check up on relatives and neighbors. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Heat stroke is an emergency!
