The Undersea Technology Innovation Consortium is marking its 10th anniversary with a refreshed brand identity, capping a decade in which the Middletown-based organization grew from a regional initiative into an internationally recognized consortium.
UTIC brings together government, industry, academia and nonprofit partners to move undersea technologies from concept to capability more quickly.
The consortium says its collaborative model has contributed to more than $1.5 billion in undersea technology innovation impact while connecting thousands of organizations.
“Ten years ago, we set out to create an environment where collaboration could accelerate innovation,” said CEO Molly Donohue Magee in a statement.
Central to that work is UTIC’s role managing the U.S. Navy’s Other Transaction Authority consortium for undersea and maritime technology innovation, run in partnership with Advanced Technology International.
